Epilators vs elictric shavers?

I thought I wanted an epilator for my birthday, but as someone who has shaved for 20+ years and suffers from in grown hairs when waxing, I thought maybe I should look at an electric razor instead.

But can I find decent comparative reviews? Can I hell, Which doesn't review womens razor and the epilator reviews they have aren't great (each tester got 2 of a batch of 10 to compare so you can't easily compare all 10 against each other) MNHQ I think we need a product test please...

Please share your views and recommend a product I'm fed up with using disposable razors or the expensive manual ones as DP decides to steal it to shave his pubes (urgh - tempted to LTB over it)

I shower so something I can use in there would be great, or how do dry shaves rate? also how easy/difficult is it to keep a bikini area or under arms hair free with an epilator?

TIA

Probably not much use to you, but I started doing my legs with an epilator a few years ago and eventually gave up because although it lasted well, it gave me horrendous ingrown hairs on the backs of my legs, which I'm still trying to get rid of now I've gone back to shaving.

Thanks Picnic, my sister uses an epilator, and suffers with awful ingrown hairs as a result. do you mind me asking if exfoliating makes any difference?
