I have very fine hair, dead straight, shoulder length hair.

Please Can anyone recommend a good set?

TIA

What sort of curl do you want?

Go for something ceramic, with plenty of rollers (at least 20), which means you'll have enough rollers to use smaller sections of hair, which in turn will give you more body.

Don't forget that you should be putting rollers into hair which is not freshly washed (washing the day before is the norm), and the success of the curl will largely depend on (putting them in properly aside), whether or not your hair naturally holds curl well.

If your hair is poker straight and barely holds a curl for five minutes, then it's going to be difficult to fight that.

Thanks kaykay. I used a friend's Nicky Clarke set last night. They did give a lovely wave but you had to heat the second set of 6 after you put the first in so bit of a faffle.
I did it just before bed time as an experiment so no idea how long they'd have lasted. Good idea to got for a larger set me thinks. Any brands to recommend anyone?
