Blimey...job interview! Help!

I have a job interview next week (it will be my first in 7 years and I have been a sahm since then)
Can I ask advice about what to wear?
I have 2 options...

1. Dark purple smart knee length skater skirt with opaque tights and small heel knee length boots wi a black top and cardi?
2. Grey knee length military style dress with same tights and boots?

What kind of school is it? I ask because some schools (academies in particular) are smarter than others.

The second outfit sounds better, but not sure what a military style dress is- can you describe it?

Do you have a smart jacket or blazer?

It is an academy.

I wear it with a 3/4 sleeve black top under and boots.

I have a knee length boden black cord skirt.
A knee length boden blue/green skirt
A knee length boden white and purple skirt...I could get a white blouse to go with this?
But what shoes!?
The grey dress is the only dress I own.

I am so useless at this. It's been so long since I had to wear smart clothes!

I have a pair of kitten heel black sling backs which I like, but my sis has hoardes of shoes I could borrow if needed.

I think you definitely need some shoes. If you can stretch to a dress and jacket I think dresses 3 and 4 and the jacket tethers linked to are great. Matalan also do shoes at very reasonable prices, as do new look. Try and see it as an investment for getting a new job. A lot of online sites like dorothy perkins always have voucher codes and a wide range of dresses and shoes. Good luck!

That jacket is quite similar to the next jacket I have...

If you can afford the red M&S one, I'd get it. It would be great with a black jacket, opaques and kitten heels.

Think I have decided on a Black knee length dress with a patent belt.
Barack opaque tights, ballerina flats and a blue/teal shrug and small patent bag.
Thoughts?

Or...I could wear it with kitten heel slingbacks? Would they look ok with opaques?
