Bra under cami top? Advice needed!

So I'm planning on wearing a cami top poss with a skirt but my boobs are 36e so going brakes isn't an option.

Even with a strapless bra they're quite droopy Hmm so I'm thinking my only option is to wear a normal bra

BUT

Will that look silly? Since the bra straps will be thicker than the cami straps!

Fashionista advice urgently required!

Watching with interest. I'm the same size as you and I avoid cami tops because of the bra/no bra dilemma. I go in for long vests instead, which can be worn with or sans bra.

That's not really helpful, sorry. I feel your pain, though....

just make sure your bra has pretty straps not big fat ugly ones and I think it's fine. A contrasting colour can look nice.

Bravissimo do strappy tops with built in bra, might be worth a try?

DarylDixonsDarlin · 18/09/2014 10:41

Some multiway bras which can be worn strapless come with a set of clear silicone like straps, I don't like them personally but might work for you?

You need to choose a bra where it's quite obvious you know the straps show. Pretty straps, matching or contrasting colour, it doesn't matter.

What always looks tacky IMO is when couldn't care less off white bra straps show or girly pink in a formal office dress.

If you give the impression you have looked in the mirror it really helps.

One, serious and elegant, mum at school always wore a bake blue bra under her brown dress with pale blue flowers.

That worked because it said "yes, normally I wouldn't show my underwear, but it's hot and this dress is cool, so I'm going to make the best off it and have a bit of fun"

Pale

M&S do vests with a proper built in underwired bra here they are ace - so comfy and give great shape/support and no drama about bra straps.

Thanks guys

The cami was going to wear was a sort of baggy one iyswim? I'm not sure about the clear bra straps as my boobs are so heavy the straps sort of turn my skin white where they dig in as I need them tight to lift my boobs!

I like the idea of nice bra straps! I suppose there's nothing else I can do unless someone knows of a super brilliant strapless bra for big droopy boobs Smile

Try on a Freya Deco strapless in House of Fraser. I've got one but it's a bit too much for what I need actually. The band will be tight and it feels constricting.

pseudonymity · 18/09/2014 12:53

Sure bra experts will tell you what size, post your underboobs and full boobs measurements.

You want the wonderbra ultimate or this new curvy kate one Smile

Echo what pseudonymity said about posting your measurements because if the clear bra straps are digging in, it's highly likely you're not wearing the correct size bra - the band does the supporting, not the straps!

I have this problem being large busted so when I had a strapless dress for a wedding I bought a size down in the strapless bra and scooped them in then taped myself to avoid spill over, worked well & I didn't look droopy .
