Jeggings advice....

Hi,
First time poster in need of your collective wisdom. I have a toddler and a ten month old baby and am struggling to get my wardrobe back on track whilst my pregnancy wieght lingers.

I have just ordered some lovely long tunic tops from Apricot and need some jeggings to go under them. I have always struggled to get jeans or trousers which stay up. I have curvy hips, a small waist and now a belly to contend with. Any advice on some that wont bag and sag within hours of putting them on.

Thank you!

Matalan do jeggings but more Jean than legging so you won't be showing everyone your knickers

Thank you, I will venture to Matalan. Good price too!

I saw nice looking jeggings in next today. I havent tried them on so can't recommend but they're worth a look. The quality looked good.

M&S 5 pocket jeggings or dorothy perkins Eden ones Smile
I have both but I think I prefer the dorothy perkins ones now

Thanks for the tips. I actually bought some of the Dorothy Perkins Eden jeggings last week but they went baggy on my knees within an hour and wouldn't stay up . This happened with a 12 and a 14 so don't think they suit my body shape !

The Gap 1969 legging jeans are amazing in black.

M and S 5 pocket ones are good and keep shape well, the next ones are nice too they are a big fit though I go down a size

The Dorothy Perkins Eden ones are, IMO, a bit hit and miss depending on the colour you get - I've got a royal blue pair that are great, they never bag and I've worn and washed and worn and washed them and they're still looking good - but the navy ones are a totally different fabric and they twist around at the ankle and bag at the knee - absolute rubbish. BUT they do have some high waist stretch skinny jeans that are excellent so keep trying - and get a belt. I have a smallish waist and big thighs and used to spend my whole life hoiking my trousers up until I discovered the winning combination of high waist styles and a good thick leather belt! Grin

Next do lots of different ones... Some are normal pull-on jeggings but they also do ones that have pockets on the back and a button and zip but are mega stretchy and come in 5 colours. They're only £24 so I have 4 pairs! Smarter than normal jeggings but just as comfy xx

Gem124 · 18/09/2014 16:37

And they don't give despite being so stretchy xx
