Whatever it is, I really like it when you can see a kind of sheen on peoples cheekbones or even face generally.
Can anyone recommend me a good one for use without foundation and with a very light liquid foundation, do you put it on before?
I bought an Estée Lauder cream product but once I put my foundation over the top I don't think its visible so I'm thinking powder would be best but a scared of looking like i did in the 80's with my highlighter!

Mac have a few good ones - there's the liquid Lustre Drops (I like colour Pink Rebel) the creamy Cream Colour Base (I like the colour Pearl) and they have quite a few powder versions such as Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle.

I try to avoid the ones with glitter and instead go for the ones with a pearly finish. I apply with a really light hand - a small brush with barely any of the product on or if using a powder, a fan brush, again with barely any product on.

If I'm using a powder highlighter, I apply it after foundation and normal powder.
If I'm using a liquid or cream product, I'll use it after foundation and not use any powder on top after.
It can be mixed with foundation or applied before foundation but I personally find that it seems to move all over my face which doesn't work for me as I have oily skin and I'll look like a greasy mess :)
