I want some sequin high tops...

Am I too old? I'm 32. Will I look like a ridiculous children's entertainer? I work with children so this is a proper concern!

I had some sequin sneakers a couple of years ago. They very quickly looked very dirty as stuff seemed to accumulate around the sequins and they couldn't be cleaned without damaging sequins, so I wouldn't recommend. Maybe a metallic pair instead? Lower maintenance...and a little more subtle...

Black sequins are a good compromise.

I have glitter high tops from Jimmy Choo and I wear them A LOT. I am 29, so not much younger than you but I don't feel like a children's entertainer! They are gunmetal so not too 'out there', but really lovely (I think) here, so maybe an understated colour could be an option. I also have black sequin converse low tops which are cool too.

I'm 36 (today!) and love love love my sequinned Converse hi-tops.
