I just can't get on board with ankle boots so I think biker boots is going to have to be what I go for but what and where from? Suggestions please (probably should say outright I'm unlikely to buy from Clarks)

Ooh. Love them. Over budget for me too unfortunately.

I've just ordered these from Amazon. They haven't been delivered yet but hopefully they will be OK. I live in biker boots when it's not summer, so tend to buy at least one pair per year.

There's a 20% off offer at the moment, which brings the price down.

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 15/09/2014 11:39

Frye make lovely ones, if you want to invest in some that will last years. And you can usually find Ash ones on sale if your style is a bit more edgy / studded and a bit less country / worn leather.

Hanginggardenofboobylon · 15/09/2014 12:05

I am currently coveting and trying to decide if I can justify one of these two...

Another vote for Frye, I got mine used from ebay and they were still in wonderful nick.

Lots of Steve Madden boots in the Dune sale here:

I bought a pair of his boots last year and they are so comfortable. I've had people stop me in the street and ask me where they're from - this never usually happens to me! I'm usually a 5 but had to get a 4 as I found they are generously sized.

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 15/09/2014 14:38

Thanks for the link I really like some of the Steve maddon ones on there

I have the Steve Madden Fortt ones. If they had them in my size, I'd definitely have another pair at that price. The soles have worn quite fast, but I have worn them at least 3/4 times a week for nearly a year.

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 15/09/2014 15:42

I'd like those ones too OnIlkley but none in my size either. Shame that's a great price

I'm assuming biker boots are worn with skinny jeans? And with the jeans inside the boots, not cuffed?

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 15/09/2014 17:15

I wear mine with cuffed jeans, or a skirt.

LouiseBourgeois · 15/09/2014 17:48

Thanks, OP. I just ordered the Steve Madden boots. I dint think there are biker boot rules, are there? I wear them with long asymmetric skirts, jeans of various cuts, dresses...

I've got a Russell and Bromley Aquatalia pair from last year. Hellishly expensive but they are fabulous.
