I do love my converse, to wear with skinny jeans etc, and I need a new pair as mine are decided tatty looking.
Is there a similar but different shoe/brand I should look at please?
TIA

Ha, snap, AppleSnapple - I know exactly the shoes you mean, I have them in red and black from last year and maaaaay have just purchased the green ones.

Have a look on Branch 309, I got Puma suede hi tops for £20, £40 off them.

I bought some leopard print ones from Kurt Geiger.

Look and feel lovely (think they are pony hair or something?) but they have cut my feet to shreds..

I like some of the Geox sneakers. Nice thick soles so more comfortable than Converse.

V interesting about the KG ones which do look nice - no desire to cut my feet to bits, though .

Tan leather converse on schuh I have them for autumn/winter their lush

I have recently converted to superga, I feel much neater with the shorter coordinated laces. Also the taping around my last few pairs of converse has come away so I have gone off them a bit.

Fitflop

BikeRunSki · 14/09/2014 22:15

Boden do a Converse type shoe
Also look at PF Flyers
I have some Fitflop sneakers which are massively comfortable and also wide. They are a few years old, not sure if Fitflop still do them.

I've just recommended these over on another thread. They're really lovely. Quite slim fitting like Converse.

ElephantsNeverForgive · 14/09/2014 23:42

Those look very tempting. I have suede Converse, which are comfy, but quite heavy and trainer like. Not summery like low all stars.

polyhymnia · 15/09/2014 09:24

Another vote for the Fitflop sneakers here. The thick sole makes them so comfortable and supportive .
