here

Or is it quite nice?

I can't decide.

Completely hideous.

How is it described as a waterfall cardi. It just looks like some old persons jacket

So, why are kimonos ok? I'm getting drape blind.

Kimonos seem a bit useless to me. They're really lightweight, so won't keep you warm. What's the point?

Mind you, you probably don't want to listen to me. I own 2 waterfall cardis and wear them both regularly.

peasandlove · 14/09/2014 00:01

I have a kimono but havent worn it yet (southern hemisphere, we're only just coming into spring) but I'll wear it over shorts/swimsuits to keep the sun off

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 14/09/2014 06:23

I think it's because kimonos don't have a non-decorative point. Cardigans are practical, fashion hates that Grin

Personally the reason I hate waterfall cardigans (on me, perfectly fine if a bit dull on others) is that they're unflattering - they have loads of fabric at the front where it gets in the way and after it skims over boobs it hangs like curtains making me look fat. And at the back it hides nothing, and my bum is what needs hiding not my front.

PumpkinBones · 14/09/2014 06:29

Knitwear. Every year it
Is a minefield for me. I find it really really hard to buy jumpers and cardigans. When I look at them
In shops I think, "can I visualise this in a charity shop" and the answer is often yes. Then I don't buy it, hence I spend a lot if winter freezing.

ocelot41 · 14/09/2014 06:34

I like waterfall cardis as have big baps and fiddly little buttons just look fussy ( as well as not doing up properly). But those are not v flattering examples of their kind...

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 14/09/2014 06:42

What about a chunky jumper instead? Or are you looking for an outer layer coat substitute (rather than layering)?

for example

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 14/09/2014 06:49

Or an asymmetric jacket?
eg

WilburIsSomePig · 14/09/2014 08:52

I quite like waterfall cardigans.

noddyholder · 14/09/2014 08:55

Kimonos pointless I had one it just hung there so I took it on holiday as a bikini cover and left it there! Waterfall cardigans are bad,but the op looks more like a suede jacket

Josiejumpismyname · 14/09/2014 09:05

What's the verdict on this one?

lisam78 · 14/09/2014 09:08

What about this jacket then?

I was going to buy this with my birthday money this afternoon, but it looks suspiciously like the cardi that is getting slated on here, don't want to waste my money on something ugly! I haven't tried it on yet, so maybe that will make up my mind! Grin

peasandlove · 14/09/2014 09:29

I dont like it, and I'd be looking for 'real' rather than 'faux' for that kind of money

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 14/09/2014 09:40

Lisam, that's the one I linked to Grin

Don't do it....

OP posts:
Wishfulmakeupping · 14/09/2014 09:43

Not nice and I normally love oasis stuff

peasandlove · 14/09/2014 09:45

joules

peasandlove · 14/09/2014 09:50

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 14/09/2014 10:12

I quite like that cape but I suspect it might swamp me.

OP posts:
MaryMotherOfCheeses · 14/09/2014 10:26

Maybe I don't want a cardigan. Maybe I want a <a class="break-all" href="http://m.newlook.com/shop/womens/jackets-and-coats/navy-faux-fur-trim-hooded-gilet-305176641?extcam=AFF_AFW_Editorial+Contentwww.asosfashionfinder.com&awc=1946_1410686667_a2b7d544f0bf4ac24e76ce22467b8fb0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">gilet?

Not too heavy but still good for autumn?

OP posts:
peasandlove · 14/09/2014 10:27

I never really got the point of them, what happens to your arms? they get cold while the rest of you is snuggly?

peasandlove · 14/09/2014 10:30

Josiejumpismyname I quite like that jigsaw one, but I wouldnt wear it myself. The blue is lovely

noddyholder · 14/09/2014 11:53

Saurus72 · 14/09/2014 12:27

TK Maxx has excellent cashmere cardis and jumpers. I'm wearing a beautiful one right now, the softest cashmere I've ever felt, and only £40.
