Looking good after a flight help please

I'm visiting DP next week and it's only a 1.5 hour flight, but after travelling to the airport and then the flight, I always feel sort of scuzzy.

What can I do to appear and feel fresh? From leaving the house to arriving at destination it's about 8 hours. We only spend about 5 days per month together and I just want to look and feel good (sorry if that seems shallow).

Any ideas please?

Will he meet you at the airport? If so, clean teeth, deodorise, clean face and re-apply make up in the loo on the plane before landing. If not, do this in the loo at the airport (or better still, have a shower there) - more room.

Change your top/underwear before landing. If you can, tie your hair up while travelling, then let it down when you've freshened up.

Wear loose fitting but flattering clothes that make you feel good about yourself. Sleep on the flight.

Although I'm sure your oh doesn't notice/mind Smile

Drink shed loads of water, and don't eat much on the plane / at airport.

Brush teeth in loos when you land and apply lippy and blusher.

Wear a top in a colour that really suits you and makes you look lovely Smile

Thanks for the replies! I wondered about putting makeup on just after I go through security. Won't be eating and always drink water.

I have short hair and it's hand luggage only (Easyjet) so I have everything with me. Clothes wise I'm wearing a comfy jersey dress and boots if it's cool, flats if not.

Can you still get those deodorant wipes? I think impulse did them?

Yes, he's meeting me at the airport. I'm a bit of a hot bod and dread getting sweaty. I think we are going to dinner straight away, so I need to be smart.

I always use facial wipes on my underarms, neck, back etc to feel fresh as I land. Brush teeth and use moisturising eye drops.

I've also found that the more I travel with work and get used to it all, the less grim I've been feeling, maybe I'm more relaxed.

No makeup before & during flight but moisturise your skin properly.
And after flight / just before landing wash your face and do makeup Smile

You can still get deodorant wipes. I find my hair gets scuzzy so have dry shampoo to hand, too. I also don't wear perfume as find it makes me feel more claggy. You can always sqirt on landing. No !make up on flight, and quick swipe round when you land.

yes, definitely only do makeup before you land, before that just loads of moisturizer. I would wear jeans, short/no sleeve top and have a blazer to throw on over once I land. eating the salt laden food on the plane does not make you feel great so take your own snacks - and a toothbrush of course.
