Coconut oil for cleaning teeth

Does anyone remember mention of this way back ?

I bought a bottle of it but now I can't exactly remember what I do with it- use it as a mouthwash before/after brushing with ordinary toothpaste, use it instead of toothpaste....what?

I guess you google "oil pulling." I've heard bizarre claims that it will cure cavities, etc., so I don't put much store by it. But maybe it works for cleaning.

Thanks, I'll google. I can remember someone saying its good for removing plaque, but as it has so many other uses (including cooking) I'll find a use for it.
