Help me find some nice tunics?

Or at least I think that's what they are called?
Just had dc2, back into my old clothes but I've got some droopy skin on my belly which I'm yet to 'grow to love'!
I love wearing leggings as they are so practical with young children, but ideally want a long top/ tunic I can wear with them that cover my bum (just, I want it shorter than a dress..) and is a bit fitted over my busy so I don't look like a potato sack!
Was a size 14 before dc2, probably a 16 now.. Help!
Budget is not a lot, but dp said he is happy to spend some money to get me some clothes that arnt from Primark!!

Seasalt do the nicest ones - bit ££ but some of them are reversible so you get two looks for the price of one, and worth checking their sale. I absolutely love the one I have from there.

Also have a look at Yours. They are a plus sized store starting from size 14 but even if you are size 14-16 they have some lovely bits and bobs that are perfect for disguising a post baby belly. I am a size 16-18 now and get a lot of my clothes from there.

Also fat face.

I love tunics - especially with skinny jeans and brogues.

It's a long shot but seasalt have two or three outlet stores. One at Clarks Village, which is in Somerset I think, one in Penryn, which is near Falmouth and another much further north. If you can get to one there are generally lots of bargain tunics. I second seasalt, fabulous quality but ££ so outlet or sales is the way forward Smile

Joe Browns:

wins hands-down for tunics.

I love them! Unfortunately for me, I'm now too large for the sizes they offer. Motivation for me to lose the baby weight.

hellsbellsmelons · 12/09/2014 15:31

I love THIS but they don't do it in my size.
I think you could dress it up or down!

I LOVE THIS as well for something more dressy

Whats with the no size 16's?

could be flattering

with leggings of course

Lots of nice stuff in their 16-24 size range boohoo

if you have the budget

maybe??

Petal02 · 12/09/2014 18:13

The Joe Brown tunics are fab!

Have you looked at Mantaray at Debenhams? They do some nice tunics and are a bit like a cheaper version of WS.

HopefulHamster · 12/09/2014 19:47

Fat Face and White Stuff are worth a look - think I've found the Fat Face ones are longer lasting though.

Nb if you buy off eBay there's loads of fake/dodgy/seconds White Stuff on there. I think the Fat Face stuff is generally okay, I've certainly bought second-hand FF tunics on there that have lasted/worn really well.

Thank you all so so much, you've branched my viewing options out from new look and Tesco (I've been pregnant for waaay too long!) and I've found some nice tops that I've ordered in a few sizes! Feels weird to actually be spending money on clothes again though!!

Everyone was very helpful, hopefully I can hide my bottom in my leggings again soon!
