I need some comfy shoes, I normally wear boots and shoes with heels but fancy flats and dont like pumps so I have bought some white converse!
Firstly am I too old and secondly what will look nice with them.
I usually only wear dresses or skirts or sometimes shorts with tights and boots so that will need to change but don't know what to buy. I have one pair of jeans though.
Can anyone suggest anything please I am size 10/12 and 5 feet 2
Thanks

I wear converse with dresses/skirts/shorts/tights/leggings/jeans basically everything in my wardrobe. I have a weird big toe joint pain thing going on that basically means most other shoes hurt. I live in converse, unless it is warm enough to wear sandals or flip flops.

They go with everything.

There is no such thing as too old :)

I wear converse with all those things. Not much of a jeans person.

Mid forties and probably a bit "mutton" for some on these boards, but I don't care.

Converse go with most things at any age. It's getting a bit late in the season for white converse. You'll probably end up putting them away for spring shortly. Darker coloured leather converse are good when the weather turns.

I have one pair of converse....brown suede ones that look like boxers boots. They were intimidating at first, being so different from previous, but now I adore them and they get comments all the time. I wear them outside of jeans (as in, not under the jeans, but coming halfway up my calves) and with dresses and tights. They are fab.

You can definitely wear converse with tights and dee eases but not knee length dresses. Get thick tights and shifter dresses, either tight or skater. If your figure allows.

I am almost 60 and wore converses today with jeans, a white T and a V neck jumper. I have seen women in their 70s wearing them- they are just plimsolls.
