Bra gurus - please help me

Bravissimo and JL have both failed to find me a good bra. They both assess me as 36DD.

My problem is that I am wide of nork, rather than large of nork. I need the DD to accommodate my width of breast tissue, but have not got enough breast to fill the cup.

So all the bras that fit under the boob and armpit either flap empty on top, or have shoulder straps that dig into the front of my armpit. Or do both.

Add to that the fact that I cannot bear lace, find it itchy and scratchy.

Ideally, I want plain, smooth-cupped bras. Practically - I'm willing to compromise for a decent fit!

Help?

Give this a go. The comfiest bra I've ever worn.

with empty flapping, try some half cup bras. this is extremely comfy www.brastop.com/fauve-coco-padded-hlaf-cup-bra-powder-puff

I'd say you probably need something quite wide, shallow and possibly balconette style. off the top of my head, have you tried Cleo Lucy, Cleo Maddie, Tutti Rouge anything, Freya patsy half cup, the one hazle linked in any material, bravissimo branded half cups.

One of them might work for you

i am similar size to you op (36d), and have a wide covering of even breast tissue, rather than a real fullness anywhere. i have only found one bra make which fits and that is marie jo at rigby and peller . Do you have a rigby and peller near you? they are worth a visit.

Balconette seemed the obvious choice, but they were some of the worst fitting. The areas where the cups turn into shoulder straps dig in badly - too wide.

Plungier styles seemed generally better.

Both fitters suggested that I try Wonderbra-types, but did not have anything suitable, so the Gossard might be a possibility.
