Dressing up boyfriend jeans?

I don't get to go out much any more so I'm clueless really! I have a pair of light boyfriend jeans which I live in and ideally want to try and dress them up for a night out (just dinner and drinks with a friend, nothing too fancy) next week.

I usually wear them with a t-shirt and lace ups or a Breton etc but I'm sure I could dress them up a bit if I tried! just not sure where to start. I have a few pairs of H by Hudson ankle boots I was thinking of wearing with them, can't face big heels, but what would you wear on top if you were me???

I don't think you can dress up bf Jeans, tbh

Oooh no I think boyfriend jeans look quite cool dressed up - maybe a camisole type thing and a blazer?

I think if you want the look to look 'dressed up' though then you would have to wear some kind of heel. I think pointies look better with boyfriend jeans, maybe because they make your legs look longer and the length and rolled upness of those jeans can cut off the legs a bit? Not sure about ankle boots unless you have great long legs, in which case go for it!

I think bf jeans dressed up with heels only look cool on skinny 6ft 20yo's Smile

BF jeans can definitely be dressed up. I'm not sure if your boots are right though? A higher ankle boot would work though.

It can work with pointy courts and a simple silk t shirt and statement necklace or earrings. Have a look on Pinterest for ideas

I'm 31 and I wear distressed boyfriends with heels, I think they look better with heels or flats, very difficult to dress them with boots,

A simple tee with blazer or tweed jacket or a silk shirt or even a nice cashmere sweater can look nice and dressy enough for a night out

Point taken about the boots, they will prob just cut me off. Will have to see what shoes I have knocking around from pre-baby. Like the idea of a camisole, I only got round to throwing out the ones from last time round recently, I should have hung on to them!

Thanks v much for the suggestions!
