Decent skinny jeans

I'm fed up of spending money on skinny jeans only for them to bag within a few wears! AngryMAny recommendations? And what should I look for when buying new jeans? Does the elastane percentage have anything to do with it?

I get Levis jeans. They don't bag at all and I have had them for several years.

I've had my J Brand 811's for 3 years and still look good with no bagging. I get them from ShopBop sale.

Wow both look great but quite expensive! I will probably have to save up, I think. Sometimes it's worth spending that bit more..

Look no further than New Look super skinny jeans. They have the ideal composition which is 98% cotton and 2% elastane. Do not buy skinny jeans if they have any polyester in them! Check the label when you go in store. I've just bought washed out grey skinnies from New Look for £7 in the sale and they fit brilliantly and don't fall down. Honestly, it's such a revelation for me. I've chucked out all my M&S jeggings!

I get my Levis in the sale and they usually cost about £40.

The new look ones are nice but I have a muffin top (!) .. I find them too low cut on me, I want something I can hide my stomach in :) for next high waisted skinnies are perfect..

My J Brands were less than £60 from ShopBop though you have to be patient to get a good deal.

Fussy about skinny jeans and hate the bagging. Recently converted to Top Shop Joni jeans. New Look ok; Dorothy Perkins the worst.

frankietwospots · 08/09/2014 18:10

@Fairylea - the grey New Look ones I bought a couple of weeks ago are high waisted and feel lovely and snug!

Crackedhouse · 08/09/2014 18:25

Ooh here I am recommending Levi's Bold Curve jeans for the second thread in a row! Grin

Fairylea · 08/09/2014 18:31

Oh really frankie? That sounds promising, I will have another look!

leedy · 08/09/2014 18:44

Same as Zara - J Brand 811s from Shopbop. :)

Their Photo Ready fabric is particularly good for not going baggy at the knees after two wears.

elvislives2012 · 08/09/2014 19:51

These are great suggestions. Am still flabby bellied post maternity belly so. Want to hide that as much as possible

M and S jeggings here. I have them in indigo and slate grey, and want some mid blue ones next. I have some J Brand 811 but they aren't super skinny which I prefer. I think size down with them probably is key. They are lovely jeans - mine were Donna Ida sale bargains under £50 iirc.

I struggle with skinny jeans too! As a size 16/18 skinny jeans are always really baggy round the ankle Hmm
