Pregnant through the winter

This is a totally self indulgent thread so forgive me!

Pregnant with DC2, due in March. DS was born an October baby so I got away last pregnancy with lots of summer dresses. I've never done the whole leggings/tunics/long jumpers/sweater dresses things as I'm short and hourglass and it just never looked right. It accentuated all the wrong bits of me. But I guess with pregnancy, all bets are off.

I was planning on buying some maternity skinny jeans and thick leggings, and then going somewhere cheapish to get long line jumpers, sweater dresses and other things like that. I haven't got much budget - want to spend as little as possible as it's just for maternity and such a small time in my life when I'll wear this stuff. But I feel really nervous about wearing leggings! I hate my legs, they're the worst part of me and without a tiny waist to off-set them, I feel exposed! I'm still in my skinny jeans - miraculously at 15 weeks and might manage to get to 20 weeks still in them but probably not much later.

Basically - will I look OK or will I look like a massive chunky legged weeble in tights?

That's basically what I wore through most of my pregnancy. I think that you should prioritize comfort over style when you're pregnant anyway. if your budget is small, Primark have some nice, loose long line jumpers with zips down the back in two or three colours, my sister (who isn't pregnant btw) wears them with leggings and it looks fine, casual and comfy. They've also got some nice sweater dresses in a couple of colours, not just black. Oh and they have some nice knitted dresses with soft stretchy waists which I wear myself (i'm not pregnant either!) with either leggings or 80 deiner tights and ballet flats. You will look fine in leggings so long as your tops are long enough to cover your bum Smile congratulations on your pregnancy Thanks
