So, I'm gettin' old. I've noticed recently (past year recently since I turned 40) that my skin is drier and much less elastic than it used to be.

Moisturiser nearly run out. Any recommendations? Budget is 25.00 max.

I'll give you the waist exercise for starters then[;

Lying flat or standing up . Put your hands on your solar plexus and gently twist your hips to the right and at the same time twist your shoulders and head looking to the left. Hold for the count of 5 and return slowly the (whole exercise should be done slowly). Repeat on the other side.

Do this carefully and gently at first if it hurts stop Grin.

Do it 3 times in the morning and 3 times at night , working up to more(I do it in bed). It also helps sleep.

oh sorry, it's just under the central bony place between your ribcage where they meet (just below the centre of your boobs). Reckoned to be where the 'brain' of your stomach is.

goodasitgets That Hydraluron sounds interesting. Can I ask, do you think it would be ok for combination/spot prone skin?

peasandlove · 10/09/2014 20:53

I would give up sugar for a younger looking face. Absolutely

MerryMarigold · 11/09/2014 06:23

peasandlove. Ah, but how many years?! I'd do it for 10 years off, but probably not 3 years.

The thing is peas it has to be done ALL the time (and I cut out a lot more than just sugar btw, though I use natural sweeteners I'm not a masochist !!!).) I follow a very healthy way of eating and many people think I'm 10yrs younger than Iam . I'm also fit and that is as important as looks IMO.

peasandlove · 11/09/2014 09:42

I dont think I eat "that" much sugar. I probably do if I added it up. I'd defo give it up for 10yrs off . I'm not too bad really, just showing signs of being 39 and an ex smoker/drinker Grin

goodasitgets · 11/09/2014 10:15

Yes I have spot prone/combo skin and I adore it. Bravura do a version too but I don't think it's much cheaper. I was lucky enough to spot a hyaluronic serum in TK Maxx which I snapped up!! It's weird, very slippery, but my makeup goes on smoother too and my skin loves it. You have to use it under a moisturiser

temporaryusername · 11/09/2014 10:35

Thanks goodasitgets, I am going to TKMaxx soon so will have a look just in case before trying Boots.

MerryMarigold · 12/09/2014 13:26

The Marvellous muffin top buster Exercise !!

  1. lie flat on a firm surface (could be a bed).
  1. counting to 5 raise your shoulders 6 cm. above the bed and hold for 5 (KEEP YR. HEAD IN LINE WITH YR SPINE )
  1. bring down counting to 5. repeat 3 times at night and 3 times in morning.

Stand facing front and keeping yr. hips facing front; swing round to look at the wall behind you. Do this both ways a few times a day.
