Hints for stretching out fabric shoes?

Ballet-pump-shaped shoes.

Not the cardboard-soled kind, a nice pair.

Width and length is fine

But I'd like them to be a few mm looser around the edge where they hold my foot.

Any suggestions other than "wear them with socks on around the house"?

Thanks - yes I know the accepted leather techniques. Dry heat isn't going to do much. I may have to walk about in soggy shoes for a bit.

Have you got a shoe stretcher?

I do not have a shoe stretcher. Should I?

Yeah definitely, you can get them on Amazon. Alternatively take them to your local cobbler & they'll probably put them on theirs for free.
