Am just about to go on mat leave and will be very poor Smile. Has anyone found a similar, cheaper moisturiser? I used to use Olay day cream, but found it too greasy.

I like the DDML as it is easy to apply make up on top of.y skin is Clinique type 2; dry but also prone to greasiness Confused

Thanks

Sorry no help at all, am addicted to dramatically different. Have used it for 16 years and swear by it. Mate just buy it when they have bonus time so you get an extra sample free?

I used to use it and I've not found anything like it - but I have converted to Elemis Pro-collagen Marine Cream.

I don't know if you have any friends or family who would want to treat you (I buy something for my mum friends when they have a baby - usually a potion or lotion because funds are always low)? It might be worth dropping a subtle hint.

Also with Christmas coming up you could stick it on a wish list?

Otherwise pop to the counter, stick that bump right out and chat to the consultant...sigh wistfully and lovingly stroke a bottle whilst dropping into conversation that you are looking for a cheaper alternative.

You may get a decent consultant who'll give you a few samples (and at this time if year clinique tend to send them into store) I did it all the time when a m2b came to my counter!!Grin

Haha, thanks ladies. Love that you're not trying to talk me out of my Clinique habit Grin

A little does go a long way...actually, you just reminded me a friend at work get 25% discount at John Lewis and is always happy to pick stuff up if she's going. How could I have forgotten? Christmas presents a great idea too. Have already asked for a haircut (DH) and perfume (DM) for my birthday to make me feel better.

I love this moisturiser too, I use the gel one. It just sinks into my skin perfectly. I also can't really afford it and haven't found an alternative so am watching with interest! It is true though that it does last a long time.

I,ve started using body shop vit e ....but then I was having to add to Clinique as I now have the skin of a more "mature"lady old fart
