Please help me find the perfect rucksack!

I'm after a shower-resistant rucksack/backpack (is there a difference?) to use as an everyday bag with a one-yr old, so it needs to hold his changing mat and stuff, snacks, water and bits and bobs, as well as my wallet, sunnies, phone etc. Ideal capacity would be 18-20 litres.

It needs to open via a front zip, rather than with a drawstring or similar at the top, so I can easily see what's inside and get to the bottom.
I like the Kankens, particularly their shape and tote handles, but ideally I want a separate pocket or two inside. Cath Kidston do a similar one but I'm not very keen on the prints - I'd prefer a more muted, plain colour.

Any suggestions very gratefully received!

I've been looking around today for the very same thing! I need two mesh bottle holders either side too. I still haven't found mine, but good luck!

Take a look at Fjallraven. Originally designed for school children. Waterproof too.

Sorry, just realised that was what you were talking about!

Google Healthy back bags. I think you get different sizes.

SGBA ooh you want the moon on a stick there!

Moose if the Kanken Big had an internal divide and an internal zipped pocket or two, it'd be pretty perfect!

Scottish - thank you but the HBBs don't really do it for me, and I think the square Kanken-style shape is more what I'm looking for.

Haha - don't I just? Aim high, that's me Wink

Amethyst I just looked up the Dakine ones and they look promising - thanks for that rec!
