Dh attire

Does anyone else have this issue. Dh has to wear fairly formal clothes for work and he chooses beige trousers and shirts that are not overly stylish. As he is going to work, fair enough.

However, lately he has been bringing home stuff from his mothers attic. Awful slogan black tshirts and wears with ripped ugly grey tracksuit bottoms and green slip on things.

I told him to go up and change. It's creeping into everyday weekend wear, yuk!!!

Rant over Blush

Anyway, he has some gorgeous stuff but doesn't want to wear it out. What do you do in this situation, I don't want to be his mummy telling him wht to do but if you saw what I mean, you would understand .

Is he going outside in these things or just wearing them in the house? If my DH told me to "go up and change" I'd possibly throw him out into the street.

Nobody should "tell" their partner what to wear!

Ah, he has "clothes for best" that he doesn't want to wear out - I used to do this, things hardly ever got worn, then I'd notice they were out of style/didn't fit/I hated them & they'd get slung. Don't have a "for best" clothes collection - it's a waste of space & money.

That. Don't save clothes for best, they'll hardly get worn.

If you don't think partners should be told what to wear, you clearly have not met my DH - all the taste and style of an 80 year old man at the Conservative Club, despite the fact he's 40 and has an amazing figure. He luffs his beige Hmm He couldn't possibly wear jeans if we are going out (even to the pub) so changes into the grey polyester work trousers because he thinks they look smart, possibly with braces as well Confused He will not be convinced of the concept of smart casual or that it is totally normal to wear it practically everywhere.

Some people just need to be told no Grin
