Help! 12yo DD needs a coat ...

So, DD is in S1 (first year high school). She actually wants to wear a nice warm waterproof coat over her school blazer Shock for the long walk to and from school. I am obviously keen to support her in this, but can I find anything appropriate? Nah. I don't even know what the 'right' brands/looks are!
She wears a women's size 10, and is quite petite (nowhere near 5ft yet). She keeps finding coats that would make her look like the StayPuft marshmallow man. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

My DD is 12yo, (Yr 8) and has a Superdry jacket.
Not the fleece lined though (she would cook) and she has a blazer and the option of a jumper.
She needs to put it in her locker too.

I was Hmm but it's a nice jacket, DD likes Superdry (the TShirts are nice quality)

She also has Tresspass (so does my DS who isn;'t as label-obsessed as his sister) .
Good online prices but they come up small.

Didriksons/Skogstad etc do nice warm/waterproof/non puffy coats.

Topshop have a really nice, petite, 80% wool duffle coat. Here. If you show her she might surprise you again.

Thank you! She's had a look at your suggestions, and currently seems to be most interested in Superdry. I've given her until Monday to make up her mind (we've been at this for a few weeks now).
