...whatcha think, anyone ordered anything yet? They're releasing the collection on a phased basis, I notice some of it isn't available til October. I found the spring/summer collection a bit hit and miss, I like Ines but very few of us are six feet tall and rail-thin so the boyish "borrow your boyfriend's clothes" look can be problematic. I've ordered the tailored jacket, the Chester tweed coat and a couple of tops - there's a good chance I'll send them back but I had to see for myself..

I'm interested in this soft tweed jacket. Has anyone seen the collection in real life?

TEACUP123 · 06/09/2014 13:15

I've bought 3 items from her Summer collection this year, but was disappointed by the quality. The clothes looked nice initially, but after several washes they don't look great any more

FrancesFarmer · 06/09/2014 14:32

Hmm. That's very disappointing, Teacup. So much for the mantra of Parisian fashion - buy fewer good quality items.

The only thing is, a tweed coat wouldn't need to be cleaned very often so it might last a bit longer. Still undecided.

I bought 2 shirts and a sweater from the last collection and have found them to wash very well. No problems with quality at all for me.

mirpuppet · 06/09/2014 15:10

I saw some of the fall collection in store but wasn't wowed.

Interesting that the tweed jacket looks like they lined the cuffs but not the back of the jacket.

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/09/2014 15:21

The navy peacoat arrived today and I'm very pleased with it.

MrPop · 06/09/2014 18:06

I like the look of that blazer. I bought a shirt last time and have also been very pleased with it.

SplatPancake · 06/09/2014 20:41

I missed out on a white shirt last time, but have just bought one thanks to this thread!

FamiliesShareGerms · 06/09/2014 20:49

I liked the look of the merino boat neck dress - until I saw how short it is!!

Happy36 · 06/09/2014 20:52

I love Uniqlo for odd bits that are stylish (and good quality for the price, usually, so disappointing to hear this isn´t always the case) and adore Inés de la F. and her style so I will definitely be checking this out! Thanks for posting this as I would not have known about it otherwise.

Happy36 · 06/09/2014 20:55

Already loving:

WOMEN Ines Cashmere Blend Crew Neck Sweater

WOMEN Ines Supima Cotton Long Sleeve Boat Neck T-Shirt

WOMEN Ines Straight Trousers

And will order them all for my 66 year old mum too!

Love timeless pieces like this! Prices cheapish though so not expecting amazing quality that will last long...

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 06/09/2014 20:59

I wanted the spotty shirt-all but Barbie sized ones left.
Uniqlo quality can be hitty missy, lulu Guinness shirts faded massively, flannel shirts are great.

Flipflops7 · 07/09/2014 21:44

The pea coat looks nice but I can't see any difference between the Ines padded jacket and the regular Uniqlo ones.

VarsityQueen · 07/09/2014 23:34

I tried the blazer on today. I am a size 10 but 30FF bust so Medium fitted. It's quite lightweight and comfortable for tweed and a nice shape.

Navy Chester wool coat – lovely clean lines, seems like decent quality wool, flattering.

Navy women’s tailored jacket – beautiful – sleeves too long but when I turn them back the lining looks great so I don’t have to have the sleeves taken up the way I usually do.

Striped merino sweater – good.

Boat necked merino dress – stupidly ordered black by mistake instead of navy so might exchange if they have navy left. I can see what FamiliesShareGerms means about the length – I’m 5 feet 2 and it’s just about decorous on me, an inch or two above the knee, it might be too short on taller women. Not sure if I will order the navy actually – wool dresses without a lining don’t always sit well.

Overall, pretty impressed.

shins what is the length of the coat like please?

warmleatherette · 08/09/2014 09:51

Love it but their stock of larger sizes is rubbish - it's almost impossible to find an XL or XXL (16 or 18) in store or on the website.

shins · 05/10/2014 15:03

Wondering if anyone's bought anything? I got the long puffy coat as well, the whole collection's being released on a phased basis so it hasn't sold out overnight the way the spring collection did.
