Smart casual dress code for glam ping wedding

What should my DP (male ) wear?

I'd go for smart jeans/chinos, open collar shirt, funky waistcoat/blazer and boots.

Will it be ok for me to wear Wellies with posh dress?

I want a ping wedding now. Especially a glam one.

What time of year is it going to be? I really don't think wellies will be necessary if it's not wet. I'd go for a washable frock, a nice cardigan and perhaps cheap sparkly disposable-if-they-get-ruined converse-a-likes from the girls' department of BHS (or similar).
