weather proof school run/ work shoes

hi all
I've been wearing cheap ballet pumps for years now and every time it rains and my feet get soaked I promise myself that I will get a new pair of shoes. I was hoping you lovely lot may be able to help me find something suitable. I do the school run drop off then on to work where I need to look presentable but it is not overly smart office. thank you

I forgot to say that I usually wear trousers if that helps!

probably nothing will do both walk/waterproof and office.

get some decent walking shoes (not boots) from an outdoor shop. No shoe is fully waterproof due to the big hole in the top of course. Also check the soles if you will be driving in them - some will slip on pedals.

when you get to the office, change to the shoes you keep there.

but bin those ballet pumps, they are so bad for your feet and must look a real joke in the rain!
