Jcrew sizing

Hi can anyone help me out with this sizing in JCrew?

I want to order a dress and for various reasons due to location returning will be virtually impossible.

Having looked at their sizing chart I will need a size US 10 petite (To accommodate 37" bust) but I understand this to be a size 14 uk size? Which i think will be enormous especially if as suggested their sizing runs a bit big.

Generally speaking I am a 10/12 depending on shops. For example in banana republic I would be a US4 and in Reis a UK 10.

Thanks!

I'm a 10/12 in UK sizes. I've only ever bought jumpers and t-shirts from J Crew, in which I get Medium and one skirt, where I got a US8, and I have quite curvy hips. Don't think that's helpful at all to you. Can't you try on? I think their stuff is quite variable in fit, so would be worth it.

Have you read the reviews of the dress on the J Crew site? That might give you an idea of the sizing. Also if you google the name of the dress you might find it's been on some blogs and some RL photos might help you.

I find J crew to run a bit small actually. I am a UK14 and wear a Large or a US12 in J Crew. Other US brands I am almost always a US10. Sometimes US10 is OK but more often than I go for a US12 in J Crew.
