Help - I need a work wardrobe for working away

I'm going to be working away from home Monday to Friday and need a mix and match wardrobe. I've not really got anything suitable for Autumn/Winter aside from one black jumper so starting from scratch including shoes.

What's the minimum I need for a 5 day week?

What kind of working environment are you in?
I work away during the week, but in a fairly formal environment. I wear suits, either with trousers or skirts. Tops are either silk from Jigsaw or Liberty print shirts.
I would take 2 suits a week & a different top for every day. Maybe a couple of pairs of shoes.
Austin Reed sale is good for suits.

I travel for work, and in separates, I do either a black or brown base - white shirt, green coast drapey top, teal top, turquoise jumper, brown jumper with brown suit, brown/teal skirt. Black is variations on suit, long skirt, ankle length trousers with jewel stretchy tops, shirt, jumpers. I then also have a selection of dresses with crop cardis, or sleeve things underneath. Nude or black shoes with the exception of my beloved liberty Clarks wedges.

With a few coloured belts and scarves you can really make things look different.

I buy a lot on Ebay tbh

Not suit smart but smart office attire.

I was thinking 2 pairs of trousers (grey and black) and one skirt then a top for every day with then a couple of extra layers, e.g. cardigan and then find shoes/boots that will work with everything. Does that sound about right?

One shift dress (navy)
One pair of smart grey trousers
One light grey fitted blazer style jacket
One dark purple cardigan
Two smart tops in white
Two smart tops in black
One pair of black heels
One pair of flat courts
One smart handbag

Oops and a black skirt.

Accessories are your firiend once you get the base right - scarves, statement necklaces.

When I did this, I went black and grey base so they'd mix and match. Bright colour tops.
I had a black jacket that went with everything and was smarter if I needed it to.
Pair of flats and knee high boots, flats and sandals in summer.

I wonder why I haven't just kept doing it, to be honest.
