Hello,

Can you all help me find some lovely blazers for weekend/casual for autumn.

I rushed into a Next purchase in Spring (odd as it isn't a shop I ever go in) and regretted it instantly, the fabric is awful and the lining worse!

I saw some in Gap and the outside was ok but the lining was plasticy.

Help please!

I got one from Uniqlo that is surprisingly nice. The one I bought isn't for sale at the moment, but they have others similar.

I wish I'd bought all three colours at the time. I have grey and want a navy one too.

Great, thanks!

I have 2 from Whistles.
They might still have some left in the sale.

I'm looking too Morello ... I have a zara one that is now too big - but the quality was never great anyway.

I'm looking at this one in Hush. I'm hesitating cos I like the shape but I'm not so keen on the colour: www.hush-uk.com/daywear/jackets/jersey_blazer_grey_marl.htm

They also do this longer one - I prefer this colour but not the shape, such is life: www.hush-uk.com/daywear/jackets/winter_shawl_blazer_graphite.htm

I don't know what the quality's like though.

Floisme · 04/09/2014 07:14

Is that the kind you mean, op? Jersey fabric rather than tailored?

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/09/2014 11:59

I have one identical to that hush one but from uniqlo. about £30 and so soft and comfy I love it!

perfect for shopping trips/ lunches/ chuck on for school run etc.

carrie74 · 04/09/2014 12:03

I've got a Lena one from Whistles (bought when they were doing some promotion or other), and love it, so am hoping to invest in another colour next promotion if they're still doing it.

carrie74 · 04/09/2014 12:06

Hmm, they don't seem to be doing them anymore, but the Ella jacket is similar.

Floisme · 04/09/2014 20:03

DesperateHousewife21 thanks, I'll keep an eye out at Uniqlo - they only seem to have a longish one at the moment and I'd prefer more of a cropped length.

I remember seeing them in H&M too but not recently.

MorelloKisses · 04/09/2014 21:47

I'm worried about the Uniqlo one due to polyester, which is the issue with the next one...

I've just ordered this one from Jigsaw

I have 2 from H&M, one mid grey, the other navy. Jarrett type fabric, but fitted, stripy lining. Cost £25 each. I got one in store but ended up ordering the other. They have a black one at the mo, hang on and il find a link (if I can do it on my phone that is)

Sleepyfergus · 04/09/2014 23:00

m.hm.com/gb/product/30435?article=30435-A&variant=034

Just noticed mine are polyester, but they're really nice and wear well and keep their shape etc.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/09/2014 11:50

Ah its a shame they're not still selling it then as it was a hip length one, you know normal jacket length!

SocialMediaAddict · 05/09/2014 16:32

I got one from Whistles.

NoImSpartacus · 05/09/2014 17:38

I also have a lovely one from Whistles!

highkickindandy · 12/09/2014 01:01

I'm new to this section.....
My Ella Ponte jersey jacket from Whistles arrived today - I was nervous about buying a jacket I hadn't tried on, but it's lovely, seems to be good quality fabric and fits pretty well - arms a bit long but that always happens. I got black, I'm already thinking about getting the grey too. I have a cheaper jersey jacket from LL Bean and it's nowhere near as nice.
I'm interested that on a lot of these threads people recommend Zara. I keep getting inspired by you all and going to my local one and always come away empty handed. The quality does not seem good. It's not all that cheap here ( I'm in Canada ) and things just don't fit - some jackets I can barely get on, never mind do up.
