Spa Break

Can anyone recommend a good spa day with or without overnight stay. It's my sister in-laws 50th birthday in November and I wanted to surprise her and take her for a relaxing treat. I have looked and looked and have found lots of ideas but not sure how good some of these places really are. Any help would be much appreciated. I don't have lots of cash and wanted to get the best I could and give her a lovely treat. Have thought about hotels with spas in but not sure which to go for.

Sorry forgot that bit! We are in East Yorkshire but happy to travel to Manchester, Leeds, London anywhere really with a railway station. Or of course happy to drive more local York etc. Thanks

Danesfield house in Buckinghamshire is beautiful. There was an offer on groupon the other day for it too!

I read the title as "Bra Speak" and wondered what on earth your post meant. Off to bed I go... Blush

Eastthorpe hall in Mirfield west yorks. It's amazing, it's won lots of award including best spa. It really is lovely

If you have an Amazon account have look at Amazon Local for good deals on Spa breaks. I have got a great deal for me and DD1 for a posh place near us (Scotland so probably no use to you).

Titanic Spa in Huddersfield is very good. I have been there for the day spa several times. The treatments are good as is the pool etc and they hav special offers on their website. Next time I go I plan to stay overnight as the apartments look lovely. Titanic is a classy spa... Not shabby like some of those older hotels

The serenity spa in Seaham is amaaaazing. They have a lovely hotel attached and The White rooms is a Michelin started restaurant. I want to gooooo! Confused

Rockliffe hall south of Darlington is better than seaham.

PretzelPrincess · 03/09/2014 00:02

Hmmm I'll have to check that out ollie!

Gumnast2014 · 03/09/2014 00:09

Titanic is amazing!!

Chocolateteabag · 03/09/2014 07:16

Have also heard lots of good reports on Rockcliffe Hall. Expensive, but worth it

ChablisChic · 03/09/2014 09:11

I can recommend Fairlawns, near Birmingham.

awaywego1 · 03/09/2014 10:49

Another vote for titanic and the apartments are lovely.

Linden Hall in Northumberland is the best I've been to, wouldn't recommend Newcastle Hilton . Have you looked on spabreaks.co.uk ?
