I WANT a cashmere dressing gown like Claire Underwood's in House of Cards but can't stomach the £££ price for the figleaves version. Any other ideas for knitted ones or v soft ones - definitely don't want big bulky towelling.

Hush cardigown?

I have a long, partly cashmere cardi that I use in this way, it's actually white stuff and meant for daywear, but it's perfect.

yes hush one lovely - thank you - but was hoping for full length
will look for long cardi's instead maybe - good idea

I really want one too but also can't afford! Have settled for a thigh-length cashmere wrap cardi but it isn't a gown.

There's one here if you're a size small and don't mind lightly-used.

I know its not full length but M&S may bring out a full length version for xmas:

Mind you, that would be nearer £200 which I'd be dubious paying for an M&S item. I'd also second The White Company or looking at normal full length cardigans in general. The colour grey, and long line cardigans are apparently "in" this winter so you might have a choice if you hold on for the full winter season stuff to hit the shops..?

ooh thanks both - I will indeed hold off
