Best opaque tights?

So it's nearly September, so nearly time for opaque tights I have rules, but that's a different thread

Can you recommend some good quality tights? Not --wolford

I've had some disappointments from M&S

Watching this with interest! Hate the way some collect bobbles and lint around the feet even after washing.

M&S merino tights are fab & a few pairs usually last me from October to spring.

Boots opaque tights are awesome!

Falke opaques are excellent. expensive though. I buy up in the sales unhelpful
M and s shape ones Were ok last year too

I can tell you to avoid - monsoon, warehouse, and oasis opaques

M&S Autograph velvet tights. Beat the pants off any of the Wolford tights I have tried out.

I was going to recommend Wolford, I usually buy them from ASOS when they have any discount codes.
They really are worth the money and wash really well.

Falke are also really good.

M&S Merino are brilliant although Wolford are still my favourite. If you're in the North West the Wolford outlet at Cheshire Oaks is fab!

Oooh. I am in the northwest. I don't go to Cheshire Oaks v often, but this might be an excellent excuse reason.

I also did not like the M&S Velvet ones, but Primark do some boot tights which are lovely opaques with socks on the feet, if there is non left in your local store it's because I buy them all up when I see them! They are cheap as chips and wash really well.

I came here to say Wolford Velvet de Luxe. Nothing comes close. I always buy armfuls at the Wolford outlet shops (and sometimes get lucky in the House of Fraser clearance corner).

I also had fantastic Calvin Klein opaques (£5 a pair in TKMaxx). Very soft & hardwearing.

Does anyone know of any good footless ones?

The knitted ones from Uniqlo are fab and have lasted me a couple of winters. Not super-stylish and sleek, but great colours and very warm on the bike ride in :)

So this might be slightly off topic... but I checked for wolford tights on eBay and found someone selling used ones with some interesting pictures, for £40

Discount at Cheshire Oaks Wolford is at least 30% The ones I bought last time were 50% discounted as seconds but I seriously couldn't find a thing wrong with them.

Primark 100 are fab and just as good as far more expensive. I don't buy anything else now

M&S Autograph Velvet Touch. I spend all day stroking my legs; they feel so lovely.

I like Falke. Expensive but they really are heaps ahead of the cheapies. Wolford are good too, but I prefer Falke. Matte 100. Last year's ones are like new.

Last few years M&S haven't been great. Hate Primark ones.
