wearing makeup (almost) immediately after dermaroller

I have some pigmentation on my skin that I'm trying to get rid of and I had a dermaroller session today to see if that would help (it's actually the 2nd of 3). They told me not to wear makeup for 24 hours but that I could just go back to normal after this. It is now 7 hours after my appointment and I have just realised I have a work-related skype call I have to make and I have red marks all over my face!!

Does anyone know if wearing a little makeup for half an hour would be a crazy stupid thing to do (I would take it off immediately afterwards) or if the risks are actually quite minimal? And why aren't you supposed to avoid wearing it in the first place? Does it hamper the effectiveness of the treatment or increase the risk of infection?

I would put the business call off but had to cancel once already so don't want to do so again.

Don't risk it unless you really have to.

Can you not just leave the camera off?
