Some colour advise needed (hair )

For the last 10 years I've had highlighted hair, my last appointment has left me with this very light large stripe of blonde which I hate, they've also cut it shorter than I like. I'm also skint.

Ideally I'd like to put on a semi permanent colour until my hair grows a bit longer and I get some money and then work out what to do.

I've been reading horror stories of highlighted hair turning green or khaki.

I've never dyed my hair at home.

I want a dark blond all over, similar to my natural colour, but I'm fairly flexible on hair colour as long as it's not green.

Can someone suggest a brand and colour?

Or am I stupid and should I just go,back to the salon?

Thank you,

Oh this is a hard one! Im suffering from a very similar problem too!! ITs tricky with blond hair, I use Nice n Easy or even Garnier with good results as it equates to a number 7 with Wella colours which are what the professionals use. Do You know what colour the hair dresser used as a base colour? Then perhaps you can buy that in shops, Nice n Easy uses the same colour charts as its a Wella brand I think...

I've no idea, it's a Paul Mitchell salon, so one of their colours. It's been 7 weeks now and
Sick of hiding the blond stripe in a French plait!
