Shorts for 12yr old boy

Hi, I'm looking for some chino/cargo shorts for my 12 year old boy, however he is very overweight and I cant find any which fasten on his waist. I don't want him to be the only person in his group of friends who can't wear them. Anyone know where I can get some bigger ones ?

It might be better to try to help him lose weight. He is young lad and health is more important than having the same shorts as his friends.

If he becomes more healthy he will be able to get the same shorts as his friends.

It's hard to find shorts now as the shops are getting in their winter stock. I found some navy shorts with cargo style pockets at White Stuff but I presume your son needs a large cut & although their's are big they are not massive.

Eastpoint- do you know the waist size on them ?
