TBH, I think most people look like Bigfoot in them. You need to be v skinny, tall, and wear skinny jeans/heels to make them look like anything else

dexter73 · 26/08/2014 14:07

I rather like it!

KipperTheFish · 26/08/2014 14:11

I am not a fashionista (to say the very least) but I would say it's a no to faux teddy bear coats after about 36 months. Perhaps you are super cool and from that London, and can wear it in an ironic way?

But what do I know? I'm sitting here in the provinces wearing Boden and Sainsbury's finest (Boden skinny jeans, a navy long sleeved Boden t-shirt, with nude ballet flats courtesy of Sainsbury's) so I wouldn't take fashion advice from me Smile

ThisBitchIsResting · 26/08/2014 14:12

I like the fabric but not sure about the shape, plus it would be the most impractical colour, would be dirty after one wear! But IMO if you have the attitude to pull off faux fur then nothing much else matters.

thriftychicken · 26/08/2014 14:14

youre probably right . i am very small , from that manchester , probably look like a walking teddy bear .
in a funny mood and in danger of ordering strange items today !

Little bit Macklemore perhaps?

would i look rather silly in this ?

I love it! Go for it!

Lifesalemon · 26/08/2014 15:27

I love it!

ChickenFajitaAndNachos · 26/08/2014 15:28

I like it, I wouldn't have it as a wear it as an everyday coat but as an additional one. If I had it I would wear it over my usual winter stuff, knitted dresses, mini skirts or leggings and knee high boots. I can't see what's silly about the coat.

Sleepwhenidie · 26/08/2014 15:39

I like it. I have this one from last Winter (am 41 - 5'5" size 8ish) and love it, get lots of compliments and it's very comforting. Machine washable too Wink. I do live in that London though....

KoalaDownUnder · 26/08/2014 15:40

I wore a cream faux fur jacket out the other night, and I'm 41 Grin (5'10" size 10). It's kind of soft, long-ish fur, though. Which sounds horrendous, but it's actually lovely - doesn't bulk you up the way thicker faux fur does. Had no less than 4 people ask me where I got it from (it's 2 years old).

It's one of my favourite wardrobe items. I think it looks kind of retro-glam - although might be deluded about that! I wore it with charcoal-grey skinny jeans and camel suede ankle boots with a heel.

Ujjayi · 26/08/2014 22:20

It's gorgeous OP. Go for it. I have it on my wishlist. I am 43, 5'6", & an 8-10. And I don't live in that London - I live in a small village.

myfriendames · 26/08/2014 22:22

Yeti sprang to mind here. They do look cute on younger children I think, however.

Castlemilk · 26/08/2014 22:24

You WILL look like a grubby West Highland Terrier within a couple of hours.

Fedupnagging · 26/08/2014 22:34

I love it and would definitely give it a go. (Am 48 and 5ft).

To avoid looking dumpy, you just need to style it right- skinnies and heels would be perfect. I think that's how a previous poster, Koala? styled hers.

Ujjayi · 26/08/2014 22:35

LOL @ looking like a grubby Westie!! I can understand not buying a white wool coat due to grub factor & it being a PITA with dry cleaning but this is machine washable.

Come on, OP...say you've ordered it Wink

tethersend · 26/08/2014 22:48

I like this one. But not the topshop one.
