Ok, I realise I am about 3 years late to the party AND I would wreck suede boots in a matter of days... But I suddenly like the look of these. Are there any offers / codes about or can you suggest a similar style in another brand? Or am I just waaaaaaay too late and they are past it now? Confused

Hmm...I bought a pair last year and was underwhelmed tbh & returned them. They have a "worn in" look that I didn't much care for and they were quite loose around my ankles which meant they slopped around on my feet as I walked - almost felt I was going to step out of them.

I now have these which I saw recommended on WIT Topshop Blink boots and also in tan They are ridiculously flattering and comfortable.

I love the look too, but the actual Jalouse were too floppy on me so would love to see an alternative.

I just bought the gold ones and they're great. I didn't want them to fit closely to my ankle, so am happy with them.

What is it you're after and what's your budget?

My friend makes boots- here

LinusDKD · 26/08/2014 11:35

I love my Jalouse but only bought them last year so I was late to the party too.

I bought my blue ones at a discount on the Surfdome website of all places. (Forgot where I bought my black ones Blush )

Mine are a 37 and I am usually a 37.5/38 so size down.

Daniel footwear has the gold for £56, sand for £109 or black spirals for £100ish

Thanks all for your help - I guess I'm looking for brown / tan / gold /grey ones. I know I will wreck the suede so a similar style in leather would be ideal but unlikely, I know. Thanks for the link to the TopShop ones Ujjayi - they are a bit flat though - I like a bit of a heel. I did find some with a tassel but think that I would feel like a tit in them and DH would take the piss. I am usually a size 6.5 in shoes, 7 in boots. Don't know about sizing down… don't know if I could get my bunions into a 6!!

If you're looking for a size 7 Hurley have some in Brown for 75 pounds. Am crap at links so Google... I want them! But am a small 7 so would need a 6 I think.

Thanks for all the suggestions - I found some farcheaper-- alternatives - at Asda Shock direct.asda.com/george/womens/shoes-boots/leather-western-boots/G004411553,default,pd.html - which are just gorgeous and not too flappy around the ankle and only £38!!! For LEATHER!!! Some of the reviews said they were too tight to get their foot into but I didn't find a problem at all. Also found these on my search www.zalando.co.uk/pier-one-cowboy-biker-boots-brown-pi911n00q-b11.html which looked lovely too.
