Urgent question re Acne boots - help please!

Does anyone have the Acne Pistol boots who can tell me whether they are true to size? DH wanted to buy me a pair today Shock but the 38 felt a little big with a pop sox so we left it. Really regretting it now - have found a 37 and a 38 online and just wanted to know if I would be mad to go for a 37 - I'm usually a pretty standard 38. Thanks!

I think they're true to size. I'm a 40 in them, same as in most of my other shoes and boots. I haven't worn mine properly yet, they are sitting in their box awaiting their first outing.

I'm usually a standard size 38 (feet on the wide side), but strangely also found the 38 too big. I have the 37 and they're perfect in the feet and quite fitted around the ankle.

You could always send them back if they don't fit. TBH, they're not my favourite boots, but I like the look of them on other people, so it's probably just down to me being a fickle shoe addict Grin

Feet on the wide sie here too Grin but they seemed to have a lot of toe room left and slipped a bit so I think I will go for the 37. What do you both wear them with? I am no longer a slip of a girl but I like to look chic…in my dreams

They used to run big but I think they are true to size now. I got my usual size 40 (mostly I wear them with skinny jeans and jersey skirts).

I am usually a 39.5 and often have to buy a 40 as not many places have 39.5. I sized down to 39 for both pairs of Acne boots. Both snug initially and have just a little. Love 'em!
I have narrowish feet. You can always return online.

Bit late but I think they are true to size as well.

Mine are the Colts (same as Pistols but higher heel) and I bought a 38 last winter and they fit well. I usually am a 37.5/38 but I have always worn them with tights so if you want to wear them with thick socks you might need to size up.

Still havering...do I want them? ........ still in my online basket......I fell IN LOVE but last night I saw a thread from ages ago deriding them as overpriced mum boots... Sad but I thought they were a great stylish design and the nicest thing I had seen (otherwise I wouldn't even begin to contemplate the price) - went round R+B and saw nothing that wouldn't make me look like Miss Marple on a night out or a down market Amersterdam window dresser.... just a little confused about my personal style these days, nothing to worry about, move along folks etc

I found them a little big - I'm a 40 in a lot of brands (eg Camper) and my Pistols are a 39, fit perfectly.

sansucre · 26/08/2014 13:20

I have a pair of Pistols. I'm a 37/37.5 but the 37 a little big even with thick socks and rarely wear them. I wish I'd have got them in a 36.

Alma in a 37 fits me perfectly.

I'm probably not much help!

sansucre · 26/08/2014 13:21

Can you not buy both and return the pair that's doesn't fit?

MyMeMy · 26/08/2014 17:31

I'm also no slip of a girl (ahem, far side of 40 something Grin) but wear them with skinny jeans and trousers.

They can look very mumsy though if worn with some things - eg straight cut work suit. My advice would be to order them online and try them on at home with the things you want to wear them with.

My favourite boots are my Fiorentini & Baker Nena boots (they have them on NAP), and also love Frye boots..
