Jaegar sizing?

Can anyone tell me about Jaegar sizing please? According to their size charts I am a size 10 on hips and bust but a size 12 on the waist. In most stores I am a UK 12 (but a size 10 in GAP).
Can anyone recommend whether I should try a 10 or a 12? The item I am after is in their sale so returns will cost me £ and I don't have a local store.

My experience is they vanity size to the max I've had to size down

It's generous except for suiting, I have found. I generally size down.

I just ordered two dresses from the outlet and they are gigantic, and are having to go back.

Massive! I am a 10 trouser in m and s, a 12 in cheaper places and an 8 in jaeger/planet etc.

Their customer services have just emailed me back and told me to go for a 12? I've replied saying Mumsnet says size down

Sizing is massive. I would order an 8 and a 10 depending on what it is.

Also try the what size am I site as they advise for whether it is a skirt, top, dress etc

Jaeger tend to cut for tall, wide-shouldered women who are fairly straight up and down -- not great if you are pear-shaped and/or have narrow or sloping shoulders. The trousers (beautifully cut) are incredibly long, and all the dresses and jackets have amazonian shoulders.

Jaeger are the perfect shape for me, I was an 8 there when I was a 10/12 in normal shops and am a 12 there now that I'm a lumpy 14.
