Help for over coloured hair!

Wise folk of MN please help. I've been home colouring my hair for about 6 years now. It looks really brassy blonde and yellowy. I've been using those neutralising shampoos but don't see a lot of difference. Any ideas or is it just a case of a salon trip or growing it out?

Depends on how long it is. Could you use a semi permanent colour to neutralise the brassiness? The silver/lilac shampoos for grey hair might tone it down a bit whilst it grows out.

Touch of Silver does get the brassiness out pretty quickly - I'm in the same boat as you. I thought Touch of Silver was an "blue rinse shampoo" but it's very good at bringing brassy tones down.
