Bra fitting advice needed.

If the central wires of a bra are not sitting perfectly flat to the chest where is the sizing wrong? Back or cup or could it be that the style isn't right.

I really need new bras - fairly confident that I am a 38F based on my measurements following bra intervention threads.

There is no where local to me that stocks this size but I was in M&S today and tried on a balcony style in 38F. The fit was OK apart from the central wires were ever so slightly lifting away from me.

I tried several other sizes 40E, 38G but the fit wasn't as good.
There were shockingly few bras over a DD cup so it was very frustrating.

this style bra

Any suggestions?

In most cases, cup too small. Did you try the same style 1 size up?

Thanks HazleNutt. I tried the 38G but the cup was definitely too big. Realised after that I should have tried a 36G too.

I'm going shopping in a few weeks so will have access to a better selection then but need something to tide me over. I don't have the available credit to order loads to try on at home.

Can be cup too small plus band too big, or wrong style with the cups being too shallow at the centre

I never abate to get them to sit flush, or if they do it separates my boobs and pushes them into my armpits!
Was bra shopping today and even in correct size there is a bit of lift doesn't help one is a cup size bigger than the other! I'm already measuring at a 32j so not must room for manoeuvre in other sizes...
