Opinion on coat please!

Hi all,

I am looking for a new winter coat. I am replacing a black single breasted knee length affair and want to go a bit different. I am a size 8, have a new do (think 20s style short and curly) and really like this one. It looks great on BUT - will the colour show everything and will I end up hating it? I have a good selection of jackets and a formal coat so it wont' get worn to death but it will be worn as everyday use. I don't really have the finances to buy it and not mind if it gets ruined or only lasts one season.

What do you think?

I don't love it...

Its a beautiful style...i am not a great light coloured coat fan but as for the shape its lovely and at a size 8 you will look lovely in it i am sure. Actually, I bought a boden camel duffle coat and its darker and feel it looks pretty dirty after one season!

Thanks for the replies! green that's my concern - if they had it in a green or blue I wouldn't even think twice. But I do love the style, and it is a bit different. I wear quite a lot of pale pink but just not as a coat!

Go for it! Years ago I had a pale pink winter coat, oversized and boxy from Wallis (that was the fashion in the 90's ). I loved it and wore it to work every day. I can honestly say it needed cleaned (it was dry-clean-only) no more often than the navy coat it replaced. I always felt good in that coat.

I don't know why I posted. I am committing the no 1 MN cardinal sin of only dwelling on the posts I like. Ergo where is my new best friend.
