Me too. I'm based in an FE college and walk miles over campus and skip lunch because I'm so busy. However in the holidays the only exercise has been housework and gardening, and I keep picking at food all day. I've put on 4 lbs but I could do with losing a fair bit more.

Me too, same thing happened last year. Sad

photocop · 23/08/2014 09:09

Yes me too! Walking is so underrated as exercise - two school runs a day on foot add up! I always feel flabby in the summer but by Oct half-term I'm back to normal.

BikeRunSki · 23/08/2014 09:18

Me too!!! Don't even work in education!

scarlettsmummy2 · 23/08/2014 09:18

Yes, also 5lb. Too many meals out and white wine!

amyhamster · 23/08/2014 09:19

me too!
need my 20 minutes walk to school & then 15 minute walk to work
doing that twice a day really does make a difference

Greengardenpixie · 23/08/2014 09:43

Yes, this is me. I see it in my legs. Our kids have now gone back to school so walked yesterday Smile Smile

ChablisLover · 23/08/2014 11:09

Me too

I blame holiday treats

Am hoping once holidays are over we can go back to normal

myknickersknackersknockers · 23/08/2014 13:57

Yes definitely. I'm a early years teacher so on my feet most of the time. Have two children under 7 at home but have gained 6lb. I've missed fitness classes due to days out and have had too many picnic lunches and too much alcohol. Looking forward to getting back into routine and losing the weight now.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 23/08/2014 14:02

Yes, not running and all the cake stops on holiday have done for me. We did walk a lot but most walks ended with a tea shop stop at the endBlush

I've lost a bit since I got back from my hols so trousers aren't quite so tight but need to get back to running.

Normally I run 30 + miles a week but I don't run on holiday and I've been stupidly busy since I got back. My 2 weeks planned not running has turned into 4......

Notonaschoolnight · 23/08/2014 14:25

Its crap isn't it, mil has offered to have the kids so me and oh can go out for tea and I'm going to force myself as we rarely get the chance but I have to admit, being already a few pounds overweight at the best of times, I feel horrible, stuck what to wear that won't be tight around my waist and really can't be arsed to go.

Hell, yeah! I normally eat a low-carb diet, but spent 10 days stuffing myself on pasties and cream teas in Cornwall. And the DDs are really into baking at the moment, and I just can't resist....

Much easier to eat sensibly and exercise when you are in your usual routine.
