Wedding hair advice

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and have an appointment to put my hair up but I don't know what I ant to do with it.

My hair is long, straight, thick and layered. As it is quite weighty I tend to find that looser styles just drop out. I seem to be the only one who can put curls in my hair and get them to stay so I don't want her faffing around with this.

I like the idea of a French roll but I don't know if this can be done nicely with layers. Does anyone have any suggestions?

How about a low messy bun and then loosely curling any layers that may slip out?

Anything like a pretty comb to go in your hair?

What is your outfit like?

Side bun?

LouisaJF · 22/08/2014 15:31

I'm wearing a long black and white dress with a v-neck. I do have a black fascinator but I'm not sure if I'll wear it.

I've tried wearing looser styles but the just drop out and look a mess.

Side bun suggestion sounds good, then - less likely to drop out than something piled up high?

In the end she gave it a bit of height on top, then plaited from below my ear round the back of my head and pinned the ends into a curly side bun. It looked lovely and held all day.
