Stylish, waterproof coat?

RubyGoat · 21/08/2014 16:03

I need a coat for winter. As waterproof as possible, mid-thigh or knee length (I'm only 5'3"), stylish & not very 'raincoat' looking if possible. A hood would be good but I can manage without. Preferably not black or very pale. Budget is about £100, may be able to go up to £200 if it's absolutely perfect! Can anyone help?

Blimey - not easy to find anything to fit the bill.

There are a couple of nice coats with that "storm wear" in M&S at the mo. Including one in the dreaded Per Una range.

Graphite at M&S

Not sure how warm it would be though.

The ASOS coat is out of stock in most sizes, shame as it's quite good, if a bit shorter than I was thinking. How reliable is the M&S Stormwear waterproofing? I need to arrive at work at least moderately dry (hate sitting all day with wet legs!)

I had the same issue last year, and finally found a very good one from Seasalt, after reading on here about them! I wanted it for work, and it is definitely waterproof, is red, and looks nice (I think!). 120. They don't seem to have it on their website anymore, but there are loads of others. Cant link as on phone.

Seasalt ones are fab.
