Bra Intervention?! I can't be an E cup?!

I've been wearing 34C for ages now not sure how I even started wearing that size, it just seemed to fit Blush

I'm a size 10 and my boobs are small, just about a handful, and I've done the bra intervention and my back measured 31" with the tape nice and tight, and my leaning forward fullest bust part measured 36" with the tape just comfortable around. Going by the blog I should be trying a 30 or 32 band with an E cup?! Seriously?!

Yep. An E cup on a 30 band is very different to an E in a 34.

Whoops! Your boobs are still the same size! You'll just have a better fitting, more supportive bra.

Go and try it on you will be pleasantly surprised.

TheFillyjonk · 20/08/2014 10:07

I'm a 28E. I didn't think I was an E either - if you think about it, an E is equivalent to the C you are wearing with a smaller back.

RosePresser · 20/08/2014 10:20

Should I try on both a 30 and a 32 in an E cup and see which feels the best? 31" is annoyingly in the middle...!

Try 30dd, 30e, 32dd and 32d to cover the in between options

You've got very similar measurements to me and I recently went from a 34C to 30DD/E (depending on brand/cut/etc)! I've had literally dozens of bras back and forth-ing between Amazon and me this past week, what I'd suggest is trying several sizes (eg for me, 32d, 32dd, 30dd and 30e) and just see what works best. Have fun admiring your new shape Smile

Withmyfeetinthesink · 20/08/2014 15:08

It's not that big - I'm an E/F and not really that 'bosomy' at all, just more organised-looking in that department now I've been interventioned!

We're conditioned to think that DD is massive because of the media 'phwoar' approach so lots of women feel anything over that is huge, but it's not, it's all about proportion really. You'll still see models in the media being sleazed over for their 34DDs when, if they would only come to MN, they would probably all be 30F or something Smile . . .

Been to debenhams, tried on all sizes suggested - E and DD both too big in the cup and a 30" band felt too small. 32D felt just right so have bought a couple, they feel so much better than my 34C's - cups aren't gaping and falling off at the nipples and I feel properly uplifted - yay!

Did you try the debenhams gorgeous brand by any chance? they run notoriously small in the band!

RosePresser · 20/08/2014 21:43

Yes I think it was actually! Going to have a browse on figleaves now!
