I've seen someone wearing a lovely dress...

It's an A-line sleeveless shift dress, main colour is white/cream with contrasting black panels around the neck, along the hem, down each side and then a horizontal one at the dropped waist position. Everso slightly gathered under the dropped waist panel. Nods to the 60s.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Anything like this Karen Millen dress?

MrsDesperado · 18/08/2014 20:58

Thanks for replying - sadly it's neither of those. I'd say it was closer in style to the KM dress than the cos one, but it doesn't have a fitted waist (proper shift dress) and the neck is higher (collar bone)...

It sounds very River Island. I saw a skirt in there recently that was white with black waistband and edging down the front.

I'll have a look on their website.

Here is the skirt which is a fat lot of good but your description of the dress made me think immediately of River Island as that is so much their type of thing.

I can't find the dress on the website but there were some in store in white with black.

Did you see this dress on a "real" person or a sleb?

FauxFox · 19/08/2014 10:04

this?

MrsDesperado · 19/08/2014 12:18

Very close Faux but not that one either! Aargh!

It was on a real person, she looked very classy.

They have one in size 14 on their outlet site when I last looked.

Here

MrsDesperado · 20/08/2014 08:00

Thanks jimmy, sadly not my size. I'm really, really glad I know where it's from now as I had become obsessed with finding out...but the non-sale price of £129 for a 100% polyester dress?! Is madness!
