Heated rollers or curling wand?

What's the difference? My hair has a natural kink to it & I'd love it to be more curly but am pretty cack-handed when it comes to styling (I have GHDs for straightening & tried to use them for curling & only succeeded in putting a 90degree bend in my hair Grin)
Can anyone recommend a budget tool for a novice?

Bumping in desperation...I can't go to the hairdresser today so I want a new toy to play with instead!

Depends on the curl you want -

I try not to use any heat on my hair and use the sleep in rollers

they're spongy so you can wear whilst you sleep. if i need something to set it i use the hairdryer hood xx
