Realise that its a whole new ball game at comp and don't want to get it wrong esp as dd has ds and I'm overly concerned about her fitting in. I really want a lovely coat and bag that are both practical and desirable to the average tweenager but I'm out my depth. I'd really appreciate some links to the sort of styles of coats/bags I should be looking for thank you

DD is going back into year 10 at school. Currently, nearly all the girls are wearing parkas like this one and rucksack style bags similar to this one

That's perfect bun thanks, are there any brands I should particularly look out for?

Eastpak or Herschel rucksacks seem to be the ones of choice atm

Jacket wise a parka or similar with fur cuff hood would be along the right way. Superdry if you can afford (£70-120 depending on what she prefers)

I don't know about brands, as DD and I aren't really brand aware. I got her parka from New Look and her bag from Amazon. I was in Brantano's this morning and they had loads of school bags/rucksacks in.

Bunbaker · 16/08/2014 18:28

Yes they do, because parkas are "in" dontcha know?
